Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to your use of theechoproject.co.uk. By using this site you agree to them.
1. Who we are
The Echo Project is an independent documentary archive based in Ayrshire, Scotland, run by Bryan Shaw. For any query about these terms, contact bryan@theechoproject.co.uk.
2. Use of this site
This website and its content, including films, photography, and written material, belong to The Echo Project unless otherwise credited. You’re welcome to share links to our films and pages, but footage, images, and text may not be reproduced, re-edited, or redistributed without our permission.
3. Nominations
Submitting a nomination through this site does not guarantee that a film will be made. We review every nomination but can only take forward a limited number of stories at any time. Nominations are handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
4. Contributor and location releases
Anyone appearing on camera, or any location used for filming, is covered by a separate signed release form, which has its own terms and takes precedence over this general page for matters it covers.
Release forms are signed on paper, in person, before filming begins. Nothing is signed or submitted through this website. The full agreements are published on our Release Forms page, and can be downloaded from there, so that anyone can read them in full and in advance, and take as long as they want over it, before agreeing to anything.
5. Accuracy
We take care to keep this site accurate and up to date, including event dates and screening details, but occasionally information may change. We’ll update the site as soon as we’re aware of a change.
6. Third party links and embedded content
This site may link to or embed content from third party platforms such as YouTube, and displays mapping from OpenStreetMap. We are not responsible for the content or availability of third party sites and services.
7. Liability
The Echo Project is not responsible for any loss arising from reliance on information published on this site. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland and subject to the jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
9. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes are published means you accept the updated terms.
